Originally the hotel opened in February, 1926, with 453 guest rooms and 19 private rooms. The architects were Shepard and Wiser. Includes a description of the bell hop at the main entrance, main lobby and mezzanine, Drum Room, Walnut Room, Aztec Room, guest rooms, ballroom and rooftop sign.
