Biographical sketch of Ira Van Noy (company president born in Indiana in 1861 with residence at 2642 Benton Boulevard) and his brother Charles Van Noy (junior partner born in Goshen City, Missouri in 1870), collectively known as the Van Noy Brothers, founders of the Van Noy Railroad News Company in 1897. Description of their business established as "local cigar and news dealers at No. 1076 Union avenue in 1893" and expanded to many hotels, railroad lines, restaurants, and news and cigar stands by 1908.
