Postcard depicting the Fairfax Municipal Airport - "controlled and operated by the Board of Public Utilities of Kansas City, Kansas is the preferred 'Port for general Aviation in greater Kansas City. It occupies 700 acres located only five minutes driving time from downtown Kansas City, Kansas and fifteen minutes from downtown Kansas City, Missouri." This postcard was sent to Mrs. Sam Ray on October 7, 1982, by the Heart of America Post Card Collectors advising her of a Thursday, October 14, 1982 meeting. It has a post-marked 13 cent US stamp of Crazy Horse.

Photograph of the Knickerbocker Apartments, on the north side of Knickerbocker Place at 530 Knickerbocker Place, during their demolition. The north apartments were razed beginning in late August, 1982, to make room for a Kansas City Life Insurance Company expansion project. The twin building on the south side of the street was still standing as of 2018. Both were built circa 1910 and designed by architect Leon Grant Middaugh. The tower visible at the top left of the photograph stands atop another Kansas City Life building, just north of the apartments.

The north apartments were razed beginning in late August 1982 to make room for a Kansas City Life Insurance Company expansion project.
