Photograph of the east side of the 4500 block of Main Street in the late 1970s. The Hilton Plaza Inn, at 45th & Main, stands at the left edge of the image. The Grandview Apartments, at 4535 Main, and the Alameda Vista Apartments, at 4537-41 Main, stand to the south. A portion of the Ponce De Leon Apartments, at 4555 Main, is visible at the right edge of the photograph. With the exception of the Sevilla Plaza building at 4545 Main, all the apartment buildings between the hotel and Ponce de Leon building were later demolished to create parking lots for adjacent hotels and apartments.

The Plaza Tennis Center courts are visible in the center of the image. Main Street and Brookside Boulevard were later realigned as part of a Brush Creek beautification and flood control project in the 1990s.
