Anne H. (Wendy) MacLaughlin died March 10, 2008, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born March 23, 1931, in Kansas City, daughter of Edwin and Dolly Hasek. Wendy was an actress and performed at the Barn Theatre and the Circle Theatre in Union Station. Best known as a playwright, her works were performed by the Kansas City Repertory Theater as well as other locations around the country. Her plays included: "Crown of Thorn" (later renamed "Divine Discord"), "Watermelon Boats,""Mirror Mirror," "Watch Out Little Boy or You'll Fall In," and "Secret."
