Article details the inaugural concert at the Sprint Center held Saturday night, October 13, 2007. The featured singer was Elton John. There were 18,000 people in attendance and the $276 million arena drew good reviews. Parking was not the problem some anticipated and attendees appear to have come early to look over the downtown area and see what all was offered. The first song Elton John performed was "Funeral for a Friend." All the songs he did for the evening are listed in an accompanying article titled "A Night Alright." Also given, with their picture, are the unofficial first two people who got into the arena for the evening program. The arena is co-owned and managed by Anschutz Entertainment Group.
