Several prominent sculpture pieces were saved while buildings were demolished in recent years. Thanks to people like Joan Dillon, Bob Berkebile, and Jane Flynn, architectural pieces from these buildings were saved and stored in local underground storage areas and maintained by the city's Parks and Recreation Department. Article includes illustrations from the following buildings: Senator Hotel, Gibraltar Building, and Wolferman Building.

Ramsden the designer of the Gibraltar Building (Downtown) and the Judge Shannon Douglass mansion (built in 1887 at 28th and Troost Avenues and demolished in 1953) and co-designer of the Nelson Building (at Main and Missouri Avenues).
