Information about the Grinter place, or Grinter house, built in 1857 just north of the Kansas River in Kansas City, Kansas, by Moses Grinter (1809-1878) and his wife Anna Grinter (1820-1905). Illustrations and description of the house and Moses, called the first permanent white settler of Wyandotte County, Kansas, building his first cabin and starting his ferry service about 1831 there.
