Obituary notice for Elizabeth Vaughan who died May 14, 2005, at the age of 97. She was a professional concert soprano for five decades. "Her voice often could be heard on the radio on KCKN-AM. Elizabeth was the soloist when the Municipal Auditorium was dedicated in 1936. She was a frequent performer at the annual Kansas Day activities at the American Royal." Her husband was Joseph H. Vaughan, owner of Joe Vaughan Men's Clothing, Inc.
