Kemper Distinguished Professor of Painting at the Kansas City Art Institute and chair of the school's painting/printmaking department."

The house and others on its block were later demolished when Baltimore between 48th and 50th Streets was closed to construct a parking garage for the 4900 Main office building.

The tennis complex was built in 1928. Looking southwest over the courts, numerous Ward Parkway apartment buildings can be seen, including the Casa Loma Apartments and Locarno Plaza Apartments.
