Warren Rosser's three-part abstraction, ''Turn and Turnabout,'' was commissioned by the Sulgrave Development for the new Sulgrave/Regency condominiums entry. Rosser is "the William T. Kemper Distinguished Professor of Painting at the Kansas City Art Institute and chair of the school's painting/printmaking department."

Photograph of a house at 4904 Baltimore Avenue in the 1980s. The Sulgrave Apartments building, at 121 West 48th Street, stands to the north. The house and others on its block were later demolished when Baltimore between 48th and 50th Streets was closed to construct a parking garage for the 4900 Main office building.

Photograph of apartment and condominium buildings along Ward Parkway during the 1980s. The buildings, on the south side of Brush Creek, stand between Wornall Road and Main Street. Halls department store, at the intersection of Wyandotte and Ward Parkway, is also pictured. The Sulgrave and Regency high rise buildings, at the rear of the image, were built in the early 1960s. The brick apartment buildings lining Ward Parkway, including the Locarno and Casa Loma Apartments, were built between 1923 and 1929.

Streetcar tracks can be seen running behind commercial buildings in the foreground, south diagonally across Main Street, before running alongside Brookside Boulevard south of Brush Creek. The Plaza Tennis Center courts are visible in the center of the image. Main Street and Brookside Boulevard were later realigned as part of a Brush Creek beautification and flood control project in the 1990s.
