Former Sprint Nextel CEO Gary Forsee is to be the new University of Missouri system president. Since Forsee does not have a background in higher education, it appears that the curators are looking for experience in business operations. He did graduate in 1972 from the University of Missouri-Rolla and has spent more than 35 years in the telecommunications industry. "His severance package [at Sprint], including stock options, was valued at nearly $54 million. His annual compensation before his forced resignation was $14.8 million."
