Profile of businessman Dan Saferstein, president of the Sportsman Cap Network. Saferstein is the great-grandson of Jacob Yeddis and grandson of Abe Yeddis, two generations of hatmakers who started the Kansas City-based Pioneer Hat Company in 1935. The company became Promotional Headwear International (PHI) in 1978 and Sportsman Cap Network in 2001. Saferstein joined the family business in 1993.
