Photograph of the Plaza Laundry Company building at the corner of 42nd Street and Pennsylvania Avenue circa 1980. The building was constructed as a laundry in 1925, and in 1982, a new owner began a renovation process to turn the structure into an office building dubbed 100 Westport Square.

View looking northeast of Ten-Forty Apartments Building that once stood at the corner of Main and 40th streets. The building was formerly the Montrose Hotel/Apartments and was designed by Shepard & Wiser and built in 1923. It was demolished in early 1998 and the site used for a parking lot.

Photographs of stores and an apartment building on the 3900 block of Main Street in the early 1980s. The Old Westport Cash Saver grocery store, at 3967 Main, and the Montrose Apartment building, at the corner of 40th, Walnut, and Main Streets, are among the buildings pictured. The Montrose Apartments were demolished in early 1998 and the site was used for a parking lot.

Photograph of commercial buildings on the 3000 block of Main Street in the early 1980s. The building at 3013 Main was occupied by Kansas City Stationery and Office Furniture at the time of the photograph, and the Eagle Buffet occupies the space at 3017 Main. The low brick building at the left of the image was later demolished to create a parking lot for a new hotel built to its north. The KCTV station tower can be seen in the background of the image.
