In his "Behind the Lines" column, George Gurley relates some of the reader feedback received about his earlier mis-definition of the geographical boundaries of the East Bottoms, which are said here to be strictly between the Missouri River and the bluffs just south of it in Northeast Kansas City, and bound on the east by Chouteau Trafficway and on the west by Paseo Boulevard. Centropolis and Sheffield are distinguished as being to the south of the Missouri Pacific Railroad tracks.
