Obituary for Chuck Davis, longtime local radio and television broadcaster, who died on February 11, 2006. He was born August 8, 1921, grew up in Kansas City graduating from Central High School. He joined the staff of KCMO, Channel 5, Kansas City's CBS affiliate in September, 1953 and for the next 30 years "he worked in every phase of radio and television as staff announcer, weatherman, host, and master of ceremonies. During the 1950s and 1960s, he worked with personalities such as Uncle Ezra, Cousin Ken, and hunting and fishing expert Harold Ensley, in addition to hosting KCMO's 'Early Show', and 'Million Dollar Movie'". He was also host of "Noon Edition", KCMO's midday news and information show. He retired from broadcasting in 1983. Obituary includes his picture.
