Article features the Strasser Hardware store and Harold Strasser who recently died at age 100. The store is located at 910 Southwest Boulevard in Kansas City, Kansas. Harold's father A. L. Strasser opened Rosedale Plumbing and Electrical in 1917 and Harold started working there at age 10. The store soon became A. L. Strasser Hardware and is a fifth-generation business. "Strasser Hardware now is up to 45, 000 square feet, taking a small city block at 910 Southwest Blvd. It has nearly 60 employees. As a True Value co-op store, Strasser has the buying power of about 5,400 stores...and it brags about its inventory--100,000 items ranging from various nuts and bolts to lumber to water heaters." Harold Strasser was named the "Oldest Male Worker" in Kansas in 2000 and died March 11, 2008.
