Sure Sign of Change
-
Description
-
The Jones Store at 12th and Main is being torn down. This article tells about the mold problem in the building due to neglect, flooding, and a leaky roof. Before the building comes down, the city will remove the mold so that it will not be released into the air. It will probably cost $100,000 to remove the mold and $3.4 million to demolish the building. In its place is to be an athletic club, grocery store, and other development. This article includes a picture of the Jones Store sign coming down. It is to be saved and placed in a prominent place in the new development.
