Description of the new KMBC radio station and tower being constructed at 50th and Belinder. Includes a drawing and details and specifics of the building and part of the "vertical radiator," or tower. Arthur B. Church, vice-president and general manager of KMBC commented, "As a key station of the Columbia Broadcasting System, we create many chain programs daily in KMBC's studios in the Pickwick Hotel. These are broadcast by KMBC through a large group of Columbia chain stations, located northwest, west and southwest of Kansas City."

The speaker for the evening was Bea Johnson, Director of Women's Activities for KMBC-KFRM and KMBC-TV.Remarks from the dinner announcement: Bea Johnson was one of the two K.C. women who were permitted to attend the Big Four Conference held in Geneva, Switzerland. The chosen topic should be of equal interest to both men and women members of the Radio and Television Council. In July 1955 Bea took seventeen American broadcasters, writers, and telecasters from coast to coast to seven countries in Europoe on the 'Bea Johnson Radio and Television Tour.' Her lecture tours have taken her to almost every state of the United States from Washington State to Florida; from New York to California."

Obituary for long time local radio and television personality Claude Dorsey. He died on August 3, 2002 in Kansas City. He was born on April 13, 1916, graduated from the University of Kansas in 1938 and joined the staff of KMBC Radio in 1939 as a news broadcaster. He retired from the staff of KMBC-TV in 1982 but continued to contribute editorials for the next 15 years.

Henning was 93 when he died March 25, 2005 and was a native of Independence, Missouri. He sang on radio station KMBC and was also an actor, disc jockey and news announcer for the station.
