Description: Eight self-portrait ceramic head sculptures done by Kansas City Art Institute students sit perched on the roofline of an apartment building at 48th and Jefferson called Vanity Fair. The heads were glued in place by apartment owner Don Anderson. The apartment building was designed by Nelle E. Peters and is part of the Poets Group located near the Country Club Plaza and is in a historic district. The city's Landmark Commission now wants the heads taken down.
