Missouri Valley Special Collections staff have been hard at work adding new content to KCHistory. Below, you will find a list of newly digitized objects added to the site during the month of August.

A notable addition is a 1970 report on the Kansas City Chapter of the Black Panther Party prepared by the U.S. Congress Committee on Internal Security, also known as the Houses Committee on Un-American Activities, or HUAC. The 288-page report contains transcribed testimonies concerning Black Panther activities in the city, documentary exhibits presented to the committee, and photographs of party members. The newly digitized text will be a valuable resource for researchers interested in learning about how local, state, and federal officials responded to Civil Rights organizations in Kansas City.
